The research infrastructure at GDAAS is cutting edge. GDAAS has established 163 science and technology innovation platforms at all levels, including 42 national and ministerial-level platforms, 112 provincial-level platforms, and 9 municipal-level platforms. GDAAS is also home to Guangzhou National Agricultural Science and Technology Park, a modernized agricultural science and technology park covering an area of 2,000 mu (about 133 hectares). Besides, 1 State Key Laboratory of Livestock and Poultry Breeding, 1 Provincial and Ministerial Joint Cultivation Base for State Key Laboratory of Agro-products Processing, 1 National and Local Joint Engineering Research Center for Processing Technology of Tropical and Subtropical Fruits and Vegetables, 2 national agricultural scientific experimental stations, 9 key laboratories of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, 5 agricultural scientific observation and test stations, 13 Guangdong provincial key laboratories, 5 national germplasm resource nurseries, and 3 germplasm resource nurseries of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs have been established. Approximately 63,000 crop germplasm resources at home and abroad are collected and preserved in GDAAS.
