On the morning of July 20, 2018, a 2-meber delegation led by Hernán Jaramillo, Commercial Consul at Chilean Consulate General in Guangzhou visited the Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences (GDAAS). Vice President Yi Ganjun and other leaders of GDAAS received the delegation. Chile's agricultural development mainly relies on export and Chile is an important export country of fruits including cherry, avocados, apple, grape and plum, said Jaramillo. To promote agricultural transformation and upgrading, Chile is seeking new ways of development and cooperation, and hopes to strengthen all-round cooperation with GDASS in agricultural varieties and agricultural technology exchanges. Yi said GDASS is willing to strengthen agricultural technology cooperation with Chile, suggesting that the two sides should strengthen communication, put forward specific cooperation fields based on the different characteristics of their agricultural varieties and technologies, and promote the agricultural technology exchanges and cooperation between the two sides.
